In 2016, Stéphane and Ali combined their skills and passion for photography to create Photo Riviera Sàrl, a shop located at Avenue de la Gare 13 in Vevey. From the outset, the objective was clear: to offer a place where enthusiasts and professionals alike can find not only photo and video equipment, but also personalized support, the possibility of trading in their old equipment, a lab for developing and printing their images, as well as a fast and professional ID photo service.

Over the years, the company has grown, driven by a loyal customer base and a constant desire to offer personalized service.

In 2020, a new chapter began with the acquisition of a legendary Lausanne address: Photo Grancy. A true local institution, this store joined the Photo Riviera family and allowed the company to expand its presence in French-speaking Switzerland.

Today, Photo Riviera Sàrl and Photo Grancy bring together a team of about ten people, all driven by the same passion: to support their clients in all their photo projects, from shooting to printing, including sales and advice.

2026 marks a new chapter: after years of selling exclusively in physical stores, the company is finally launching its online shop. To maintain a personalized experience and stand out from the competition, every online purchase grants access to in-store advice and explanations, at no extra cost. The passion remains the same, wherever you are.

Our team

Ali - Founder

A true jack-of-all-trades, Ali effortlessly transitions from hardware advice to machine repair, from DIY to accounting, and even finds time for lab work. As an indefatigable conductor, he makes it a point of honor to welcome and serve each customer with the same attention.

Stéphane - Founder

A veritable photo encyclopedia, Stéphane knows everything: from old film cameras to the latest mirrorless models released yesterday. Based at the Lausanne store, he advises customers with passion and formidable precision. If a photo question exists, he probably already has the answer.
PS: some say he tests cameras even in his dreams... we can't confirm.

Camille - Manager

Guardian of the temple in Vevey, Camille ensures that everything is perfectly in order. Demanding, precise and a tad finicky, nothing escapes him: neither a misplaced price, nor a poorly stored lens. With him, the store runs like clockwork and every detail counts. And when it comes to advising a customer, he quickly finds the camera or lens that will suit them... sometimes even before the customer knows it themselves.

David - Photo Advisor

A photography purist and passionate to the core, David can talk about lenses, films, or sensors for hours. Always ready with a joke or an anecdote, he shares his passion with enthusiasm... and a certain sense of humor. For him, photography is serious business—but never without a smile.

Noah - Photo Advisor

Noah joined us as an apprentice and quickly found his place in the team thanks to his motivation and good humour. Now an employee, he already knows the company very well... even though he has temporarily traded cameras for a uniform for his military service.

Julien


Passionate about imagery, Julien pays particular attention to rendering and colors, from film to film simulations, with a admitted soft spot for Fujifilm. Enthusiastic and always offering good advice, he enjoys sharing his passion with clients and guiding them in their choices.

Valentin - Laboratory

Ensconced in his lab cave, Valentin watches over films, scanners, and prints with formidable precision. Developing, scanning, printing... nothing escapes him. But he also sometimes leaves his cave to lend a hand in the store and share his passion with customers.

Olivier

Always smiling, Olivier takes the time with each customer to fully understand their needs and find the equipment that truly suits them. Patient and attentive, he enjoys sharing his passion for photography in a simple and friendly atmosphere.

Aurélien - Photo Advisor

Aurélien, the latest addition to the team, is skilled in both photography and videography. Always on the lookout for new developments and very technically adept, he can answer the most complex questions. And if we need to talk about Canon... he's always up for it.

Muriel - Laboratory

Present since day one of the adventure, Muriel brought the lab to life for a long time with her experience and precision. Development, prints, scans... she held thousands of memories in her hands. Today, she is enjoying a well-deserved retirement but remains an important part of Photo Riviera's history.

Athushan - Apprentice

Athushan is part of this new dynamic and committed generation. Very respectful, motivated, and always positive, he fully invests himself in learning and supporting clients as best as possible. Curious and diligent, he progresses quickly and already brings great energy to the team.

Orlando - Apprentice

Freshly arrived, Orlando embodies the new generation. Ambitious, motivated and always in a good mood, he learns quickly and is already putting all his energy into serving clients. Curious and involved, he progresses every day with a smile... and a motivation that does not go unnoticed.
